Tibetan Mastiffs were bred to be fierce guard dogs, many people still use them to do just that. You would stay away from a village if you knew thu had a few of these guys roaming around at night. Many people say that the dogs bred in China are more fierce than their western counterparts, but it generally depends on now you raise them. Like any other dog.
